Dear Jim,

I 'm very sorry to learn of your daughter Lucy's death in May, but what a wonderful perpetual memorial to her this new service will be! And a lasting testament to a grieving father's creativeness and soulfulness. May Lucy's soul rest in peace with all the Saints.

You have offered a very useful cost-effective alternative for obituaries.

I can really relate to what you say about the cost of obits. My father passed away in April and it cost nearly $500 to include his obit and photo in his local paper! What a shock that was. And it was only for inclusion for one day, though it was also put on the website indefinitely. But then the website started charging to view the obits! It seems to be a bit of a racket don’t you think? While I like the fact that we can write our own, it is a bit pricey…
