My daughter, Lucy, died on May 30, 2010. She was 36 years old. Needless to say, it was
devestating. In our grief, we contacted the local newspaper to place an obituary and were told the cost would be $10.73
per line, consisting of 30 characters, including spaces, per line. With just a few lines the cost was over $200.00.
If we wanted to add a picture, that would be an additional $115.00 - That's
just for one day!
In memory of Lucy, I have begun a new approach to obituaries.
"Lucy's Gift" is an opportunity to remember a loved one without having to pay for an expensive
